Türkiye, the modern and developed country, with its history and ancient civilization. Turkiye is a large peninsula that bridges the continents of Europe and Asia. Türkiye has a total area of 783.562 square kilometers, of which 769.632 square kilometers are land and 13.930 square kilometers of water, so it is the richest country in the Middle East with water sources. Türkiye is the 37th largest country in the world in terms of land area.

A Brief History of Türkiye

Modern Türkiye was founded in 1923 from the Anatolian remnants of the defeated Ottoman Empire by national hero Mustafa Kemal, who was later honored with the title Ataturk, or “Father of the Turks.”

Under his authoritarian leadership, the country adopted wide-ranging social, legal, and political reforms. After a period of one-party rule, an experiment with multi-party politics led to the 1950 election victory of the opposition Democratic Party and the peaceful transfer of power.

Culture of Türkiye

Türkiye is a large country situated on the crossroads between Europe and Asia. Climate and Nature

In the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts the climate is cool with rainy winters, and hot, moderately dry summers in contrast to the Black Sea coast that receives the greatest amount of rainfall.

The climate in the Black Sea area is wet and warm on summer the average is 23°C and on winter 7°C.

Western Anatolia as well as the southern coast of Anatolia has a mild Mediterranean climate with average temperatures of 9°C in winter and 29°C in summer.
