DESCRIPTION
This is full day tour of Azerbaijan cuisine. Spend a day like a real Baku citizen, and try the best dishes in authentic restaurants this excursion will open for you the world of the richest Azerbaijani cuisine and will acquaint you with its main components. You will find a rich gastronomic journey through the Old City, the colorful Baku bazaar and the coast of the Caspian Sea. For one day you will learn new shades of flavors, try local delicacies, the most delicious lamb and sturgeon in the world, fragrant wines, countless spices and dried fruits. As a result, you will get to know the original culture of Azerbaijan through its national cuisine!
Breakfast in the Old Town – Your acquaintance with the gastronomic culture of Azerbaijan in the Old City will begin with a traditional breakfast consisting of rustic oil, cheese, honey, hot freshly baked in tandir cakes, tea or coffee.
Azerbaijani color in the eastern bazaar – You will visit one of the oldest Baku bazaars, where I will tell you about the specifics of Azerbaijani cuisine, its main ingredients and characteristic spices, national and regional dishes. In the market you can penetrate deeper into the world of oriental cuisine, and also taste and buy all kinds of spices, dried fruits, fresh Caspian black caviar, exclusive varieties of Azerbaijani tea and much more.
Lunch time after a short walk – we will stop for lunch at traditional restaurant, where you will taste a shish kebab from freshly caught sturgeon and other sea fish or lamb, shah-plov and other traditional Azerbaijani dishes as well.
Authentic dishes and secret recipes – After lunch we will return to Baku and take a short stroll through the iconic sights of the Old Town, stopping for tea or wine tasting on the way.
Organizational Details – the cost of food and drink is not included in the
price of the excursion and is paid separately. For breakfast, lunch and dinner
we will choose authentic places, where the Azerbaijanis themselves go.
